Data Protection

We at Nuzzera GmbH, c/o DB mindbox, Holzmarktstraße 6-9, 10179 Berlin, are operators of the website nuzzera.de or nuzzera.com and the services offered on it. We are responsible for the collection, processing and use of your personal data in accordance with the German Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO). We collect and use your personal data exclusively within the framework of the relevant data protection regulations, in particular the Basic Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO).

The protection of our customers data is very important to us. In the following, we inform you which personal data is collected from you and stored when you visit our website or use services offered via the website. You will also receive information on how your data is used and what rights you have with regard to the use of your data.

  1. When you visit our website

When you visit our website, the browser used on your end device automatically sends information to the server of our website. This information is temporarily stored in a so-called log file. The following information is collected and stored without your intervention and deleted from the log files after 30 days:

  1. IP address of the requesting computer,
  2. Date and time of access,
  3. URL of the retrieved file,
  4. Website from which the access is made (referrer URL),
  5. Browser type and version.


The aforementioned data will be processed by us for the following purposes:

  1. To ensure the smooth connection of the website,
  2. To ensure a comfortable use of our website,
  3. To evaluate system security and stability,
  4. To detect and prevent attacks on our website,
  5. For the continuous improvement of the website as well as
  6. For other statistical and administrative purposes.


The legal basis for the data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. f DSGVO. Our legitimate interest follows from the purposes of data processing listed above.
In principle, we do not use the collected data to draw conclusions about your person. However, in the event of an attack on our network infrastructure, your collected IP address will be evaluated in order to assert or defend legal claims.
In addition, we use cookies and analysis services when you visit our website. You can find more detailed explanations of this under (sections 4 and 5) of this data protection declaration.

  1. When creating a personal profile 

If you wish to make full use of our platform, you must register as a member with a personal profile and log in to your personal profile. For the creation of a personal profile we need the following mandatory information:

  1. Name (voluntary)
  2. First name (optional)
  3. a valid e-mail address,


The processing of these data takes place,

  1. to be able to identify you as our member of our platform;
  2. to check the entered data for plausibility;
  3. If necessary, for the personalization of advertising measures
  4. For personalization of messages
  5. for the settlement of any existing warranty claims and the assertion of any claims against you.


The data processing is carried out upon your request and is necessary for the fulfillment of the contract according to Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. b DSGVO for the stated purposes.
The personal data processed by us in the course of registration will be stored until you submit a request for deletion to us (e.g. via the "Delete account" function). In the event of a deletion request, we will only retain the necessary information if storage beyond this is necessary for the fulfillment of the contract on the basis of Article 6 (1) sentence 1 lit b DSGVO or if we are obliged to store the data for a longer period of time in accordance with Article 6 (1) sentence 1 lit c DSGVO due to tax and commercial law retention and documentation obligations (from HGB, StGB or AO).

  1. Contact form / customer service

You can send us general inquiries via the contact form provided on our website. We ask for your name, a valid e-mail address and your message. We need this information to be able to answer your inquiry.

Data processing for the purpose of contacting us is carried out in response to your request and on the basis of Art. 6 (1) p. 1 lit. b DSGVO or to protect our legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 (1) p. 1 lit. f DSGVO. Our legitimate interest is to be able to respond to requests from our customers and thus ensure a functioning customer service.
The personal data collected by us for the use of the contact form will be deleted after completion of your request, unless we need to retain them due to the nature of your request or we are obliged to store them for a longer period of time pursuant to Article 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. c DSGVO due to tax and commercial law retention and documentation obligations (from HGB, StGB or AO).

  1. In the context of our newsletter

You have the option to register for the newsletter provided on our website. If you have expressly consented, we will use your e-mail address to send you our personalized newsletter on a regular basis.
For the registration to our newsletter the input of the following data is mandatory:

  1. a valid e-mail address,

In order to be able to ensure that no mistakes have been made when entering the email address, we use the so-called double opt-in procedure: After you have entered your email address in the registration field, we will send you a confirmation link. Only when you click on this confirmation link, your email address will be added to our distribution list.

The e-mail addresses of our newsletter recipients are stored on our behalf on the servers of Amazon SES and Linode in the USA.
Amazon SES uses this information to send and evaluate the newsletters on our behalf. We have concluded an order processing contract with SES and Linode for this purpose. Through this contract, Amazon SES assures that they process the data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation and ensure the protection of the rights of the data subject.


Amazon SES assures that personal data is comprehensively protected against unauthorized access. Amazon SES itself does not use the data of our newsletter recipients to write to them itself or pass the data on to third parties. As a company based in the USA, Amazon SES observes the data protection provisions of the "US Privacy Shield" and is registered with the "US Privacy Shield" program of the US Department of Commerce. 

Amazon SES also offers statistical evaluation options of usage data by means of cookies, such as determining whether a newsletter was opened, when it was opened and which links are clicked. The evaluations are also used to identify the reading habits of users and allows us to adapt our content or send different content according to the interests of our users.
Unsubscribing from our newsletters is possible at any time, without giving reasons, e.g. via a link at the end of each newsletter. Alternatively, you are welcome to express your wish to unsubscribe at any time via our contact form. Your personal data processed in this context exclusively for the purpose of sending newsletters will be deleted immediately after unsubscription, however, we keep the fact that you have objected together with your e-mail address so that we do not accidentally send you newsletters in the future. 

The legal basis for the data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. a DSGVO. In no case do we use the collected data for the purpose of drawing conclusions about your person. The evaluation of the newsletter is based on Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. f DSGVO in order to optimize our newsletter. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of the aforementioned provision.

  1. Disclosure of data to third parties

If this is legally permissible and required according to Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. b DSGVO for the processing of contractual relationships with you or according to Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. f to protect our interests or those of third parties, your personal data will be disclosed to third parties. The data passed on may be used by the third party exclusively for the purposes stated.

In addition, a transfer of personal data may only be considered if

  1. you have given your express consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) p. 1 lit. a DSGVO, and
  2. in the event that there is a legal obligation for the disclosure pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. c DSGVO.


A transfer of personal data to a third country or an international organization is excluded.

  1. Cookies

We use cookies on our site. These are small files that are automatically created by your browser and stored on your end device (laptop, tablet, smartphone or similar) when you visit our site. Cookies do not cause any damage to your end device, do not contain viruses, Trojans or other malware.
In the cookie, information is stored that arises in each case in connection with the specific end device used. This does not mean, however, that we gain direct knowledge of your identity.

The use of cookies serves on the one hand to make the use of our offer more pleasant for you. For example, we use so-called session cookies to recognize that you have already visited individual pages of our website or that you have already logged into your customer account. These are automatically deleted after you leave our site. In addition, we also use temporary cookies for the purpose of user-friendliness, which are stored on your end device for a certain fixed period of time. If you visit our site again to use our services, it is automatically recognized that you have already been with us and which entries and settings you have made so that you do not have to enter them again.
On the other hand, we use cookies to statistically record the use of our website and to evaluate it for the purpose of optimizing our offer for you (see section 5). These cookies enable us to automatically recognize that you have already been to our site when you visit it again. These cookies are automatically deleted after a defined period of time.
The data processed by cookies is necessary for the aforementioned purposes to protect our legitimate interests and those of third parties in accordance with Art. 6 (1) p. 1 lit. f DSGVO.
Most browsers accept cookies automatically. However, you can configure your browser so that no cookies are stored on your computer or a notice always appears before a new cookie is created. However, the complete deactivation of cookies may mean that you cannot use all the functions of our website.

  1. Tracking and targeting

The tracking and targeting measures listed below and used by us are carried out on the basis of Art. 6 (1) p. 1 lit. f DSGVO

With the tracking measures used, we want to ensure a needs-based design and continuous optimization of our website. On the other hand, we use the tracking measures to statistically record the use of our website. Through the targeting measures used, we also want to ensure that you are only shown advertising on your end devices that is oriented to your actual or perceived interests.

The respective data processing purposes and data categories can be found in the description of the corresponding tracking tools.

  1. Matomo

We use Matomo (formerly Piwik) for web analytics, a service provided by InnoCraft Ltd, 150 Willis St, 6011 Wellington, New Zealand, NZBN 6106769, ("Matomo") using cookie technology. Our additional settings within Matomo are configured in such a way that your IP address is only recorded in an abbreviated form. We therefore process your personal usage data anonymously.   1. Data subject rights

You have the right:

  1. to revoke your consent at any time in accordance with Art. 7 (3) DSGVO. This has the consequence that we may no longer continue the data processing based on this consent for the future;
  2. in accordance with Art. 15 DSGVO to request information about your personal data processed by us. In particular, you can request information about the processing purposes, the category of personal data, the categories of recipients to whom your data has been or will be disclosed, the planned storage period, the existence of a right to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing or objection, the existence of a right of complaint, the origin of your data if it has not been collected by us, as well as the existence of automated decision-making including profiling and, if applicable, meaningful information about its details;
  3. in accordance with Art. 16 DSGVO to immediately demand the correction of incorrect or completion of your personal data stored by us;
  4. pursuant to Art. 17 DSGVO to request the erasure of your personal data stored by us, unless the processing is necessary for the exercise of the right to freedom of expression and information, for compliance with a legal obligation, for reasons of public interest or for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims;
  5. to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data in accordance with Art. 18 DSGVO, insofar as the accuracy of the data is disputed by you, the processing is unlawful, but you object to its erasure and we no longer require the data, but you need it for the assertion, exercise or defense of legal claims or you have objected to the processing in accordance with Art. 21 DSGVO;
  6. in accordance with Art. 20 DSGVO, to receive your personal data that you have provided to us in a structured, common and machine-readable format or to request that it be transferred to another controller, and
  7. to complain to a supervisory authority in accordance with Art. 77 DSGVO. As a rule, you can contact the supervisory authority of your usual place of residence or workplace or our company headquarters.

  1. Right to object

You have the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the processing of personal data concerning you which is carried out on the basis of Article 6(1)(e) DSGVO (data processing in the public interest) and Article 6(1)(f) DSGVO (data processing on the basis of a balance of interests); this also applies to profiling based on this provision of Article 4 No. 4 DSGVO
If you object, we will no longer process your personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the purpose of asserting, exercising or defending legal claims.
If your objection is directed against processing of data for the purpose of direct marketing, we will immediately stop the processing. In this case, it is not necessary to specify a particular situation. This also applies to profiling, insofar as it is related to such direct advertising.

  1. Data security 

All data transmitted by you personally is encrypted using the generally accepted and secure standard TLS (Transport Layer Security). TLS is a secure and proven standard that is also used, for example, in online banking. You can recognize a secure TLS connection, among other things, by the appended s at the http (i.e. https://..) in the address bar of your browser or by the lock symbol in the upper area of your browser.
We also use appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction or against unauthorized access by third parties. For example, your user password is stored only as a hash and only certain employees have access to your personal data. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.
